Ágape Misíon Mundial…

in Tijuana, Mexico is a faith-based nonprofit organization and church housing migrants awaiting asylum hearings led by Pastor Albert Rivera. Ágape is located next to one of the largest landfills in the country - poverty in this area of Tijuana is exacerbated by the health risks stemming from the proximity to millions of tons of trash.

In 2005, our partner organization designed and constructed a small community center where local residents could host community events, quinceñeras, weddings, children’s programs, and church services. While Ágape continues to serve as a place of refuge for local community members, it recently has taken on the mission to provide housing and resources for migrants awaiting their asylum hearings to cross into the United States.

LifeArk // Ágape

As more migrants seek asylum in the United States, Ágape is seeing an increased need for adequate housing and service centers - asylum hearings can take weeks or months to be approved and be extremely difficult to navigate as the legal process is sometimes complicated and arduous.

LifeArk has committed to provide modules to house the influx of people arriving on Ágape’s grounds. Based on their current needs, our modulars can be easily transported on site and built in any suitable configuration. Additionally, our modulars can take advantage of the solar energy produced in this area of Mexico and utilize off-grid capabilities.
