Harvard Park Campus

Basin Street Properties (BSP), in partnership with LifeArk, National Healthcare and Housing Advisors (NHHA), and Volunteers of America (VOA) submitted a proposal for the Sacramento County Cares Collaborative Design-Build Services American River Parkway Safe Stay Project. This RFQ called for Collaborative Design-Build for a Safe Stay Community development near the American River Parkway in Sacramento, CA.

The proposal entails a build-out on BSP’s Harvard Park Campus to develop a full-service healthcare facility with supportive housing all on one campus. The proposed campus includes a 224-bed LifeArk Shelter Community located on a 2.45 acre section of the existing parking lot. On the site is an existing 5-story parking lot and multi-story office building that will become a new cafeteria, multi-purpose center, intake processing and case management office.

The project will be phased into 4 stages: Phase 1 will be the 224-bed Emergency Shelter, Phase 2 will be a 234-bed Interim Housing Cluster, and Phases 3A and 3B will be Permanent Supportive Housing. The project will include amenities such as a main entry plaza, central park and garden, picnic and sports areas, a dog park and bike path as well as security offices and storage.
